Well Mumbles Belle came out of the water as planned, & Richie, Allan & I started to prepare the engine for lifting out. Well it isn't quite as easy as it looks, everything is tightly squeezed into little recesses with nylock nuts on the back. We have loosened or removed every wire, cable, wire & pipe, so you would think it is simply a case of lifting it, NOT SO! Riche found out that the old fire fighting equipment is attached to the engine by a steel plate, which is impossible to remove (because of the position of the bolts (thats why they left it there when they originally converted it). So it as to be lifted on a slant, & the plate will be removed when we get the engine out, but it makes the engine about 18" longer than it looks, Sam turned up about 1100 looking to start painting (I haven't even bought the anti foul yet lol) come next week Sam & I will give you plenty to paint. I go to Cardiff tomorrow to get anti-foul its a nuisance not having a chandler in Swansea, then rethink how we are going to get this bloody engine out?
