What next?
I took the angle grinder to the fibre glass concealing half of the inspection cover of the fuel tank (why did they do that?) removed the inspection cover & took out the offending plastic tube, & checked there was nothing else in the tank, & buttoned everything back up.
I could have done without that problem really it was a lot of work through my own stupidity, but I will put Jubilee clips on in future. I now know how the fuel system works, & what goes where, & I did manage to find things I thought I had lost, & I binned some of the stuff I didn't want, In don't know where all those reels came from lol.
The observation plate is now readily accessible should it ever be needed & an easier system of fueling up has been discovered. As you can see it wasn't exactly a little piece of plastic pipe I dropped in there was it.
