Sorry to say I'm not very good at putting lugworm on my hook and usually manage to burst them spoiling a lot of my bait and wasting my money. Can any member help me to avoid this?

One of the best ways to avoid bursting lug is to use a bait needle. This is great because you can also easily thread 2 or even 3 worms on to the needle and then slide them onto the hook. You can use them loose like that as the bait or to make them more secure bind them with fine bait elastic while they are on the needle; this helps to keep the lug together when sliding onto the hook and when casting.
